American Cancer Society Crops
August 16th & 17th, 1 to 7 p.m.

These are special American Cancer Society crops and are open to all. The fee for one crop is $12. If you sign up for both Saturday's and Sunday's crops, it's $20 for both. The ACS will be providing all of the snacks and prizes. It's a time to bring your tools, photos, and anything else you need to get lots of uninterrupted work done on your album! Bring a mug with a secure lid or rent one of ours for $1. Sign-ups for the two ACS crops may be done at any time.

Fund Raiser for Heart Transplant

Special Fund Raising We are thrilled to be a part of helping to raise funds for someone close to our hearts. Most of you know Sherry Thurman who has cooked and served your meals for at least four years. Her husband is in need of a heart transplant. But, they have to have a $25,000 transplant fund in place before the surgery. So, we're helping in any way we can. As of this date, the fund is half way to the goal(this includes donations from their church, family and others, as well as many of you). Over Memorial Day weekend when we had the special crop in honor of Bill, over $1,000 was raised for the fund. Many croppers have donated to the fund in lots of different ways. Several of our gals at our last "Crop Swap" (our scrapbooking garage sale!) donated all of their proceeds to the fund (We have another Scrappin' Garage Sale coming up August 2nd). Several have donated some significant scrapbooking items for us to sell asking that the proceeds go to the fund. Some write a check each time they come in. Others put the cash they get back from us in the can. You can also help by purchasing tickets for a chance to win a beautiful quilt made especially for this occasion or a special porcelain doll donated for the fund. We have several other fun things in mind to help raise funds. So, don't miss out on the fun while we raise money for a very serious cause.

Creating Keepsakes Convention Coming
August 21-23

Classes and FUN!
There will be lots of classes and lots to see at the convention. The sign-ups for CK Convention classes and crops began on Wednesday, May 14th at the Creating Keepsakes convention site online. The classes fill up fast, so, there may not be a lot left by now. Brandi will be teaching four classes at the convention on the Cricut Design Studio Software. The first two scheduled filled up immediately, so, CK added two more. They are on the same days right after the original classes from 7 to 8:00. We have everything in stock that you need for your class supplies. We even have a listing of what you need for YOUR classes, so, come on in to your "class supply headquarters"!

There will also be lots going on at your local scrapbook stores. In addition to give-aways all weekend, we'll be open until midnight and holding crops on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, the 21st, 22nd and 23rd from 6 to midnight and on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Our crops will be $10. All crops include dinner. The sign-ups for the August convention-time crops at Scrapbooks Galore have begun, but, there are still numerous spots open.

Birthday coming up for you or a friend?

Can you think of a more fun way to celebrate your birthday than to spend it cropping with your friends?!!! There's no charge for adult parties (except a nominal charge for Sundays) and we have plenty of room. Give us a call and plan to have a terrific celebration!!!

You can do all kinds of other parties, too. We've had Baby Showers, Wedding showers, parties for scout troops, get-togethers for pom and cheerleading squads and lots more. Even the "non-scrapbookers" invited have a ball!! Whatever you need, let us know and we'll make it happen!

	July "Crop Around the Clock" Retreat! Our July retreat will take place Friday the 25th thru Sunday the 27th. This "in-store" retreat is $50 and goes from 6 p.m. Friday through 6 p.m. Sunday. Included are all meals (dinner Fri., breakfast, lunch & dinner on Sat., and breakfast and lunch on Sunday), all the drinks & snacks you could possibly consume, prizes & 10% off all your purchases for the weekend. You may crop until 3 a.m. and then go home to sleep or go to a hotel with your friends and make it a mini vacation! If you need to leave for a pedicure or church or whatever, you can go and come back to all your things right where you left them! Your six foot table will be yours all weekend! As always, croppers need to be at least 12 years old. Younger children and babies are not permitted at crops (except, of course, to visit Mom!) Plan ahead for the September retreat which will be the 5th, 6th, and 7th. Scrappin' Garage Sale August 2nd, 10-3 p.m. At our last garage sale, everyone had a really great time - both sellers and buyers! Well, here comes the next one. So, get your extras and unwanted things together and give us a call to reserve a table or two! Tables are $5 each. This one will be handled a little differently from past sales. You'll bring in your "treasures," set up your table(s) and then we'll do all the work for you! You can pick up an information sheet or we'll be glad to email or fax it to you.
